Are you part of the Armed Forces Community and looking to become an entrepreneur, have more control over your working life, and unlock unlimited earnings? Then look no further!

SaluteMyJob is delighted to have teamed up with award-winning global travel business, Travel Counsellors, to provide the best-in-class-training to the Armed Forces Community, empowering veterans, military spouses and their families to set up their own business and become travel professionals.

The pioneering company, set up in 1994, has gone from strength to strength, with numerous awards under its belt and they believe the unique skills and experience of the Armed Forces Community - and their entrepreneurial spirit, will pave the way to becoming successful Travel Counsellors.

Matt Harding, Head of Franchise Sales at Travel Counsellors, believes ex-military personnel have the right skills and mindset to join their team of entrepreneurs: “Creating a new business is one of the top six career aspirations of people leaving the Armed Forces so starting afresh, in something completely new, is something many will be comfortable - and feel inspired to do.

Veterans are equipped with the right skills and mindset needed to become successful Travel Counsellors; resilient, hard-working, team-players, driven, comfortable taking risks and familiar with bouncing back from setbacks - the list goes on.

“We know military spouses have a huge desire for flexibility and a job that can move with them and be flexible around their family, so the opportunity we offer would be a perfect fit.”

WHO ARE TRAVEL COUNSELLORS?

  • Founded in 1994, with almost 30-years experience, Travel Counsellors Ltd have built up their business keeping the remote worker and people at the forefront and heart of everything they do.

  • Essentially, they give people, whatever their background, the opportunity to become self-employed travel professionals, through bespoke, industry-leading training - with the chance to work whenever - and wherever they want and with uncapped earning potential.

  • They sell travel - from all-inclusive in the Med to bespoke trips in far-flung corners of the globe - with a level of personalised service that customers' can't find when booking online or with a traditional travel agent.

  • Crowned twice in the British Travel Awards as UK's Best Travel Retailer - and TTG's Best Place to Work in Travel in 2022, the ambition to become ‘world's most caring travel homeworking company’ is on track.

To become a Travel Counsellor, you'll need to fund a flexible investment of up to £10,000+VAT, joining one of their seven different training courses. Worried about having no travel experience? Their Travel Academy is a 6-month training and onboarding programme designed specifically for people who want to run their own travel business, but have no previous experience selling travel.

As well as the best training - you will also be provided with your own laptop, business phone line and access to their bespoke, state-of-the-art booking platform, Phenix.

Matt said:“Our Travel Academy would be a great opportunity for those in the Armed Forces Community with little or no professional travel experience. You will be trained by our expert training team, with an average of 25 years’ travel industry experience, our accredited trainers and coaches deliver best-in-class training, setting you firmly on the path to a successful new career as a as a self-employed travel professional”

Travel Counsellors are empowered to run their own business with complete flexibility (including the new flexible start-up fee), so you can achieve a work-life balance that works for you.
