This month, we shine the spotlight Eight Wealth Management that aims to support serving military and ex-military personnel with their financial futures.

ABOUT EIGHT WEALTH MANAGEMENT

Putting people at the heart of its business, Eight Wealth Management helps individuals and organisations to plan and achieve their financial aspirations.

Established in 2008, Eight Wealth Management combines friendly advice with expert guidance and analysis to deliver clients with trusted, tailored support. Helping clients to kick-start their savings, invest for the future, protect loved ones or plan for retirement, Eight Wealth Management has the skills and professional knowledge to hold your hand through what can sometimes be an unpredictable journey.

WHAT DOES EIGHT WEALTH MANAGEMENT OFFER THE ARMED FORCES COMMUNITY?

Counting several ex-military employees among its staff, including ex-Navy PTI Stuart Brown (see below), Eight Wealth Management is proud to employ Service leavers and support them, where possible, with their move into the financial services sector.

Aiming to help members of the Armed Forces to financially prepare for their transition from the military, Stuart Brown, offers complementary consultations to serving and ex-military personnel. Having been through the journey himself, Stuart understands the challenges and opportunities available outside the Services. Devised to help ease the financial shock of leaving the Forces, these consultations give an overview of the financial solutions and options available to them on their new path. Regular virtual seminars are also held to give people a more general insight into these financial services.

SUCCESS STORY

Stuart Brown started his civilian career at Eight Wealth Management after 16 years of service in the Navy. Recognising his military drive and passion, Eight Wealth Management offered Stuart a job when he left the Navy. Helping to facilitate his career transition, the company taught Stuart about the industry and supported him throughout his training. Stuart now works as a Financial Adviser and specialises in helping Service Leavers and veterans with their financial plans.

“I wanted to work in finance as I strived for a role that used my brain and allowed me to meet new people. Helping individuals and families build their financial futures and plans – and in turn seeing clients reap the rewards – is an immensely satisfying achievement. I’m proud to play an integral part in the client journey,” said Stuart.

Always up for helping others, Stuart is keen to help veterans with their finances and with advice on how to get into the industry. He connects with the military community through regular seminars and, recently, short and informative webinars on financial planning inside and outside the Forces. More information on these seminars can be found on the Eight Wealth Management Events page and Stuart can be contacted via email stuartj.brown@sjpp.co.uk or phone 01489 555180.
