Role Summary

This is a part-time role (probably 2 days a week) and would suit someone who’s had a full career and is now perhaps looking for something as part of a portfolio of consulting positions. Our client is fully ISO 9001:2015 / 18001 compliant and they are looking for someone to help them maintain the accreditation. In addition they are planning to convert to 45001 and get 14001 this year. Our client is keen to find someone who has strong leadership and employee engagement skills.

Our client is a world leader in the development and manufacture of hovercraft. Their products are used in both the commercial and military worlds. They recognise that product and service quality is of primary importance to their customers and in order to maintain this focus, they have held ISO 9001 accreditation for a number of years.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sit on Senior Management Team (SMT)

  • Facilitate the migration to a fully integrated management system encompassing the ISO standards that the company requires

  • Advise SMT on the compliance requirements of the ISO9001, 45001 & 140001 standards

  • Assist SMT and staff to action compliance with the ISO9001, 45001 & 140001 standards

  • Audit organisation to ensure compliance is maintained and aligned with the companies mission and strategic objectives

  • To chair the Continual Improvement Forum and coordinate action resolution

  • Provide leadership and direction to staff to achieve departmental and personal objectives

  • Monitor and feedback departmental and personal performance through visible KPIs

  • Maintain standards for Health & Safety within department

Key Requirements

  • Qualified as ISO auditor

  • Working experience of ISO9001, 45001 & 140001 standards

  • Full understanding of Management Systems and continuous improvement processes

  • Ability to work with staff at all levels from Directors to Shop Floor

  • Good analytical and process mapping skills

  • Ability to teach, coach and support staff to achieve the MS objectives
