Salary: £25,046 p/a
This is a great opportunity for a former Serviceman or woman with solid communication skills who is experienced in using their own initiative. As a Compliancy & Health and Safety Administrator, you will provide administration support to the Health and Safety team as well as the M&E / Compliancy Section of the Property Maintenance team covering asset management, planned works, responsive repairs and void works.
A large Housing Association operating in London and Hertfordshire, managing over 6,000 homes with a turnover of £57.9 million.
Provision of high quality administrative support to the Health and Safety and M&E / Compliancy Section and across the department
Tasks include data processing, service contract administration, sickness/absence admin, providing telephone cover, timely and effective record keeping, diary management, arranging meetings, producing and circulating minutes, booking training and events, maintaining and archiving filing systems, and assisting in the smooth running of the M&E / Compliancy Section as well as the Health and Safety team.
Supporting the Statutory Compliance Manager and Head of Health and Safety in duties such as budget monitoring, reporting the department’s performance including contractor partners, liaising with contractors to ensure the effective delivery of Compliancy Contracts and driving out service failure.
Supporting with the collation and presentation of Key Performance Indicators.
Planning and scheduling fire risk assessments and arranging access to properties Scheduling post- inspections of fire actions on completion.
Ensuring that Fire Risk Assessments are completed within the time scales and meetings in place for sign off of the action plan.
Maintenance of the fire, health and safety IT system.
Provision of support for training including upkeep of the training matrix and attendance records.
Scheduling pre and post-inspections of Asbestos actions; monitoring the process; liaising with the consultants and contractors to provide essential updates; identifying and escalating obstructions to progress.
GCSE at Grade C or above (or equivalent) in English and Maths
IT skills – (Microsoft Packages, Excel to an Advanced Level, Finance and Housing Management Systems)
Solid verbal and written communication skills

Accuracy and attention to detail
Uses own initiative to identify and find solutions to administration issues
Ability to attend evening meetings
You should have a basic knowledge or understanding of fire systems, both electrical, manual and static, PAT, access systems, PIR/communal/CCTV/lightning, fall arrest systems, door & gate entry systems
