SaluteMyJob is hosting a working seminar to consider the formation of a Scottish Enterprise Approach to Transition.
ABOUT THIS EVENT
SaluteMyJob, as one of the founders of SVETS, is hosting a working seminar to consider the formation of a 'Scottish Enterprise Approach to Transition' - or some form of employer-led skills partnership.
The seminar will be held on Thursday, 24th April at The Royal Scots Club, 29-31 Abercromby Place, Edinburgh EH3 6QE. You are invited to join the whole seminar or one of two sessions from either 10.30am - 12.30pm or 14.00 - 16.00. Lunch and refreshments will be provided. We are delighted that Charlie Wallace, the Scottish Veterans' Commissioner will open the seminar with his observations from his first 6 months in the role.
During the seminar, we will discuss:
Which of the Scottish Government's/ Scottish Veterans' Commissioner's recommendations can employers best help to deliver and
Which of these should be our priorities?
What type of opportunities should we seek from employers?
What form should any collaborative activity or project take?
How will any collaborative activity or project be resourced?
What can we learn from other employer-led collaborative projects in Scotland?
To succeed, the project must add value to, and avoid conflicting with, existing government services, including the MOD's Career Transition Partnership and focus on the delivery of clearly defined goals, such as the SVC's recommendations. We believe Scotland is the best place to start this employer-led, collaborative activity and look forward to hearing your views on the day.
