SaluteMyJob meets transitioning and former Royal Marines at Resettlement Fair

SALUTEMYJOB met with ex-Royal Marine jobseekers at the Royal Marines Charity Resettlement and Careers Fair on Thursday. (20th September)

The event was an opportunity for retired and serving Royal Marines in resettlement to connect with the wider Corps family and meet forces-friendly businesses with current employment opportunities. The interactive event gave jobseekers a chance to chat to industry experts, explore a variety of career and lifestyle options and hear from former Royal Marines who had successfully made the transition to civilian employment.

Managing Director of SaluteMyJob, Andrew Jackson and Employment Consultant, Dan Mason attended the event at CTCRM Lympstone, offering valuable advice to jobseekers.

Andrew said: "We much enjoyed participating in the very well organised Royal Marines Charity job fair. It was a pleasure to meet so many jobseekers, some of whom had travelled a long way to get to the event. I hope jobseekers benefited from the advice we were able to offer, in particular about the need to develop targeted job search plans and to explore jobs in sectors such as cyber security, which few had considered, despite the availability of jobs that are well suited to ex-military candidates."
