Santander UK plc. hosted an Insight Day for ex-military personnel and reservists to find out about working for the leading financial services provider in the UK.
This was a great opportunity for people to gain an insight into working at Santander from former military and reservist employees who work across the bank.
The event took place on Friday (12th May) at Santander’s London office. Managing Director of SaluteMyJob, Andrew Jackson attended the morning event.
Throughout the day, attendees were given an overview of Santander’s commitment to the Armed Forces Covenant and an insight in company’s structure and strategy. Attendees also heard about working for Santander from a reservist and were given an insight into transitioning from the military to a job at Santander from a former military employee. The morning ended with an overview of the application process and tips.
Andrew Jackson said: “It was a pleasure to contribute to Santander’s Insight Day for transitioning and former Service men and women. It is clear that not only is the company very committed to supporting the Armed Forces but that they have also undertaken a huge amount of work to review their policies and practices. They are already beginning to reap the benefits, as are the members of the Armed Forces community who are engaging with Santander.”
