Royal British Legion and Groundwork forge a new employment service for vulnerable veterans

FORMER service personnel in Greater Manchester who have found the transition from the military to the civilian world particularly challenging will soon be able to access specialised employment support so they can get back into work, reports The Bolton News

The new Ex-Military Skills for Employment programme, which has been made possible by grant funding from The Royal British Legion, aims to break the cycle for vulnerable veterans who feel ready to get into work with civilian employers but have struggled to secure or retain employment for any length of time due to challenging personal circumstances.

The funding from The Royal British Legion will allow Groundwork MSSTT to work with a number of local veteran charity partners and employers to generate transitional employment opportunities that veterans can use when applying for future permanent positions.
