Transitioning out of the Forces or a veteran looking for a career change? Have you considered jobs in cybersecurity? If not, you should because there is huge shortage of people with the right skills. But where do you start?
Thanks to a innovative partnership with IBM and the Corsham Institute, SaluteMyJob are able to offer veterans and reservists free training courses to help get on to the cyber security ladder. Our IBM QRadar May course is now open for candidates - so why not get in touch and see if it is for you?
This five day training course is aimed at service personnel in resettlement, veterans and reservists, looking to work in a support and operations environment. The course covers system configuration, data source configuration, remote networks and services configuration. Upon successful completion of the course you will be awarded an IBM Digital Badge. Successful graduates include a Private soldier in the Rifles, a Sergeant in the Royal Marines and a Combat Medical Technician.
A recent graduate of our course, who served in the Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers, said: “Thank you for the wonderful opportunity for me to attend the QRadar course. Coming to the cybersecurity industry with little experience, I felt that the chance to network with employers was a real benefit to understand what they are looking for. Although I may not have gained any leads so far, I do feel that It has aided my understanding of the bigger picture.”
