More cyber-trained veterans on the market

MORE cyber-trained military veterans are now on the jobs market after they successfully completed a SaluteMyJob training course.

Thanks to a partnership with IBM and the Corsham Institute, SaluteMyJob is able to offer veterans and reservists free training in three of IBM’s key cyber security software products.

The Q-Radar training, recently completed by another cohort of 13 service leavers, is delivered by IBM-approved trainers. The course is aimed at veterans and reservists, looking to work in a support and operations environment. Students learned to navigate the IBM QRadar user interface and how to investigate offences during the course which also covered system configuration, data source configuration, and remote networks and services configuration.

Other free courses offered by SaluteMyJob include our i2 Training Course, designed to train veterans on IBM's Analyst Notebook tool, and the SOC Fundamentals with IBM Resilient course, a new three-day course covering Cyber Security Fundamentals, an SOC (Security Operations Centre) Overview, hands on exercises and finishing with full training on IBM Resilient, an Incident Response platform used by many SOC Teams around the world.
