Global firm helps ex-forces into work

A LEADING global company is offering targeted training and support to ex-armed forces in a bid to help them back into work.

Salesforce, the world's leading Customer Relationship Management (CRM) solution, has developed its own program to increase the number of veterans in cloud computing careers.

Vetforce, a job training and career accelerator program for military service members, veterans, and spouses, connects members to free training, classes, and career opportunities within the Salesforce ecosystem. The classes offer comprehensive content ranging from Salesforce basics to civilian business skills, all with the intent of connecting learners to new opportunities.

Veterans and spouses can embark on one or more learning journeys where they receive structured, self-paced training, collaborate in an online community, achieve Salesforce certification, and get connected to high-demand and high-wage employment opportunities from the company’s 150,000 plus customers.

With Vetforce, the company hopes to help meet the growing demand for Salesforce ecosystem talent while increasing diversity, inclusion, and equality in the technology sector, helping to connect the military community with employers who may be unfamiliar with the military services and providing a forum for current employees to engage with the military community.
