VETERANS, serving members of the Armed Forces, cadets and poppy sellers will be able to travel for free across a number of transport links throughout the UK this Sunday.
South Western Railway, Northern network and TransPennine Express (TPE) will be honouring the Armed Forces community by offering free travel on Remembrance Sunday. (11th November)
You just need to be in uniform or able to show an identification card with your branch stated (British Army, Royal Air Force or Royal Navy). The offer is also open to members of the cadet forces in uniform and veterans who display valid identification, such as the MOD issued Veterans Badge. In addition, the hundreds of licensed poppy sellers, who have been volunteering in the lead up to this weekend, will also be able to take advantage of free travel. Both Northern and TransPennine will be offering free travel on Saturday, 10th November.
Cities across the UK, including Manchester and Glasgow are also offering free travel. Check the below links for full details.
