SaluteMyJob, IBM and the Corsham Institute are pleased to announce that, through their unique partnership, a further seven Armed Forces veterans and Service leavers are now qualified as data analysts.
All those who successfully passed the five-day course last week, (10th-14th July) are now accredited by IBM as certified data analysts on IBM's i2 Analyst Notebook tool. This qualification will assist individuals looking for employment as data analysts, especially with organisations who use this product.
Since 2015, we have run eight i2 Analyst courses at The Corsham Institute’s Hartham Park - with 92 veterans now qualified as data analysts - with the milestone of 100 qualified veterans set to be reached at the end of the year.
One of the students, Kofi Assan, described the course as “excellent”. He added: “This was a fantastic opportunity and gives a lifeline to a new career.”
Aginatious Shiri praised the training and said the knowledgeable instructor created a “unique and relaxed atmosphere”. He added: “This is an excellent initiative. Such opportunities were not available when I left the Armed Forces. I am glad such a programme has been put together to reach such a high standard in a short period of time.”
Managing Director of SaluteMyJob, Andrew Jackson, said: “It was a pleasure to meet another impressive group of transitioning or former Service men and women attending the course. We look forward to continuing to support those looking for employment into the right roles and companies.”
The next IBM's Free I2 Analyst Training Course will be on the October 30th to November 3rd.
