Salary: On Target Earnings (OTE) £30,000
A number of exciting opportunities across the country have arisen for former Service men and women to join one of the UK’s leading motoring organisations as Vehicle Assessment Technicians. The role is to provide a quality, professional and effective assessment of client’s vehicles. You will be working for a veteran friendly organisation with a long history of working with the MOD.
Shift work required.
To be eligible to apply you will ideally live within 45 minutes of the site location.
Our client is a nationwide breakdown cover provider for its 15 million members.
Providing vehicle mechanical reports to business customers/organisations
Promoting the company and its services by projecting an efficient and professional image at all times
Carrying out vehicle checks to a high standard on clients premises against set criteria within set time frames
Ensuring the optimum use of time and costs when undertaking diagnostic work
Using all PPE issued equipment as required and ensure compliance with any site specific H+S instructions given by the company’s clients
Maintaining a high level of knowledge in the field of automotive systems
Willingness to progress
Ability to work independently and unsupervised
Previous car inspection or appraisal work
Previous MOT experience
Motor vehicle qualifications - Level 2 City and Guilds or Level 2 NVQ in Mechanics or equivalent experience
Driving licence - 6 points or less (no company vehicle provided)
Workshop experience gained from either an independent or franchised automotive
