Tech/Cyber Recruiter

Salary: £27,000 to £30,000

Location: Home-based

We're on the lookout for a Tech/Cyber Recruiter to join our recruitment team.  The role will be based at home, where you will focus on direct sourcing of predominantly technical candidates for our clients.

Our role at SaluteMyJob is to help ‘join the dots’ between employer demand and the supply of talented former Service men and women. We do this by:

  • Building strong and close working relationships with employers, so we understand their needs and future plans;

  • Help them build a pipeline of ex-military talent. Unlike an agency, we work with them, and ex-military job seekers, to align their needs with the expectations and timelines of transitioning and former Service men and women;

  • Matching the transferable skills and culture fit of ex-military people to the needs and values of their business;

  • Focusing on meeting the critical needs of employers, for example in cyber security, operations management, engineering and IT.

As a Technical Recruiter at SaluteMyJob, you’ll have ownership of all hiring and focus on meeting the critical needs of employers, for example in cyber security, operations management and engineering.  The successful person will be responsible for managing anywhere between 10-15 vacancies which in most cases needed to be hired yesterday, so you’ll need to be able to prioritise your workload effectively.

Whilst working in this role, you’ll be required to work with our Sales and Operations Management team and keep them updated on a regular basis with progress of the vacancies, and if there are any challenges.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Find, engage and partner with passive and active candidates, through the use of our ATS, Job Boards, LinkedIn and other platforms.

  • Post adverts on jobs boards, and social media platforms.

  • Manage candidates through the recruitment process by exploring their military skills and helping translate these into language suitable for commercial organisations.

  • Screen CV’s and interview candidates to determine suitability for roles.

  • Support clients and candidates with interview/assessment preparation and onboarding.

  • Regularly track pipeline activity to share with stakeholders.

  • Support at Recruitment Events (where appropriate).

What we’d like you to have:

  • Experience of sourcing technical roles within either an agency or fast-paced in-house environment.

  • Ideally previous experience of working with Military candidates

  • Experience of using LinkedIn and other social channels to proactively target and attract top talent.

  • Technology and industry knowledge, with ability to understand relevant tech skills.

  • A team player that thrives in an environment of responsibility and initiative.

  • Excellent interviewing skills

  • Proactive with the ability to prioritise workload and plan ahead.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
