Working Hours: 0745 to 1615 Monday to Thursday and 0745 to 1245 Friday
Salary: Circa £35k depending on level of experience
The Senior Quality Engineer ensures that the products and services provided by the company are fit for purpose, consistent and meet both external and internal requirements.

They are very veteran-friendly and are now seeking a dynamic ex-military person to take on the role of Senior Quality Engineer within their organisation. Maintain the company Quality Management Systems in line with the requirements of ISO 9001/14001/18001.
Maintain the company electronic document control system.
Work with suppliers on quality related issues.
Monitor the production line and doing periodic quality control checks.
Work with operating staff to establish processes, standards, systems and procedures.
Cover for the Quality Manager where necessary.
Carry out quality & process audits within the business and at key suppliers.
Assist the Quality Manager with Third Party Approval audits.
Identify and implement relevant quality-related training needs.
Perform product identification and traceability activities, as required.
Comply with all quality, safety and work rules and regulations.
Act as a catalyst for change and improvement in performance/quality to maximise profitability.
Implement improvements to production processes that lead to overall increases in product quality.
Practical experience in heavy engineering environment.
Previous experience in a Quality Engineer / Quality Assurance role.
Qualifications in Quality Assurance and knowledge of ISO9001 are essential.
Knowledge of ISO14001 is beneficial but not essential.
Knowledge and experience of LEAN and Six Sigma methodologies.
Qualified internal auditor.
HNC in Mechanical Engineering is preferred.
Ability to work in a diverse and dynamic environment.

Strong ethics: work honestly and with integrity.
To have focus/responsibility on several projects and prioritise to deliver.
Clean Driving Licence
