Roadside Technician - NEW LOCATION

Location: Oxfordshire, Basingstoke, Leicester, Northampton, SW London
£35,500 OTE (guaranteed minimum c. £26,500)

Role Summary

A leading motoring organisation is looking to the ex-military talent pool to fill a number of roadside technician roles across the country. As a roadside technician you will be on the frontline, traveling from job to job, ensuring customers are back on the road safely. Your shift starts and ends from your driveway, so you can say goodbye to time wasted on commuting.

Ideally, applicants will have a background in vehicle maintenance and repair - but if you have mechanical knowledge or an interest in modern vehicles, you will be well-suited to the role. You will receive comprehensive training and development, so if you’ve got the drive to succeed, we want to hear from you.

The Company

Our client is a nationwide breakdown cover provider for its 15 million members. They are looking to find ex-military candidates immediately - as well as a pipeline of future talent.

Role Responsibilities  

  • Your main responsibility as a roadside technician is the diagnostic of members’ vehicles.

  • Your shifts could include evenings, weekends and Bank Holidays, so you’ll need to be ready to drive to all kinds of locations, in all weathers, and work quickly and efficiently.

Key Requirements

  • Ideally you’ll need an NVQ3 in vehicle maintenance and repair, or an equivalent qualification.

  • It’s essential that you have a full category B driving licence, with less than 6 points. If you don’t also have category BE (towing), you will be funded for obtaining it.

  • Comfortable working with and adapting to new technology.

  • Most importantly, your technical skills are matched by your flair for dealing with all kinds of people. Whatever the situation, you are calm, friendly and reassuring.
