To work within a team of Resource Managers, managing the day-to-day operations at relevant rail depots to provide a safe, reliable and punctual train service meeting customer expectations in a cost effective way.
Our client is the largest train operating company in the UK with more passengers, more trains and more staff than anyone else in the country. They have very ambitious plans to improve the infrastructure, technical capability and capacity of all their rail lines.
To support the operational delivery of our clients train service for those depots under your control, ensuring you have the right people in the right place at the right time.
To ensure consistently high levels of operational, safety and customer performance.
To participate in regular individual performance 1-2-1 meetings and interim/annual reviews.
In conjunction with Roster Clerks and the Train Crew Managers, support the preparation and negotiation of master rosters for Train Crew.
To manage Drivers and any other relevant staff to ensure they are in a fit and proper condition at both unsupervised and supervised depots under your control.
To ensure that the clients data management systems, such Genius and Bugle, are kept up to date.
Responsible for the health and safety of customers, visitors, contractors and staff at Depots for which responsible.
Proven track record of line and resource management experience in a transport environment.
Excellent IT skills.
Ideally experience of systems such as TRUST, SHEILA, BUGLE & GENIUS and performance management systems.
People focused, driving improved employee engagement and results.
Ability to lead and coach a team.
Able to meet the expectations of both internal and external customers.
Ability to produce, analyse & interpret data.
Able to investigate delays and incidents with the objective of identifying causes & making recommendations.
Able to plan & organise under demanding timescales.
