Salary: £32,000 to 35,000
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an ex-military engineer to join the engineering team of a major food producer. You will assist the engineering team in providing support for all production activity.

Responding and resolving machinery breakdowns in a timely manner.
Support and offer guidance to the production and grading teams with any machinery related issues.
Maintaining machinery, services and supplies in line with planned preventative maintenance measures, ensuring the health, safety and welfare of all employees and the optimum running efficiency of all equipment.
Develop the skill base of the engineering team through the coaching, training and development of those not equipped with similar skills.
Maintain a planned preventative maintenance programme and liaise with the general management team to ensure the minimisation of downtime and disruption.
Responsible for auditing machinery and to carry out preventative maintenance schedules attached to the machines as well as providing breakdown cover.
Analyse market conditions relating to engineering developments and provide feedback and ideas so as to ensure the company is able to meet the changing needs of our customers and establish a competitive advantage.
A mechanical/electrical qualification or equivalent military experience
