Salary: £35k - £65k depending on experience

The role will involve exposure to a variety of security technologies, delivering security implementations or remediation programmes. Our client is a premier Security Consultancy with a proven track record of delivering security services to a number of FTSE 100 companies. This fast growing company has ambitious plans to expand their market leading cyber security practice and are particularly looking to hire ex-military personnel to be part of their exciting growth strategy.
Working across a portfolio of cyber engagements with clients, reporting to a Manager or Senior Manager, responsible for the day to day completion of security assessments or technical delivery elements of a security transformation programme.
Working with team members you will create high quality reports, ready for review by a Manager or Senior Manager.
Where possible, you will identify opportunities to assist clients further and escalate these potential areas to the engagement manager.
Establishing and building a network of contacts.
Working with the Customer Success Manager you will assist with the planning and delivery phases of engagements.
Contributing to the creation of proposals and marketing material.
Ensuring your work is delivered on time and on budget.
Contributing to the development of the existing team by sharing knowledge, leading by example and helping team members to develop.
Experience in information and cyber security is desirable but not essential for this role. The client wishes to ‘convert’ the successful applicant from military to information security and will provide the necessary training and work experience. You must have a keen interest in forging a career in cyber security and be willing to undertake extensive training and gain experience in your first 3 - 6 months of employment. Students who have completed our QRadar or Resilient Courses would be well suited to this role.
Solid communication skills and expertise to translate technical jargon into business familiar language. Experience of requirements gathering is desirable.
Able to quickly understand and interpret customer problems and navigate complex organisations
Knowledge of operating systems architecture & administration (LINUX & Windows)
LPIC-1 & CCNA certification
Basic networking and scripting
Self-motivated and self-educating, yet willing and able to work collaboratively with both customers and fellow consultants
Well organised with a healthy sense of urgency, able to set; communicate; and meet aggressive deadlines with competing priorities
Ability & flexibility to travel within Europe, Middle East and Africa up to 75% of time
Strong interpersonal and listening skills
Relevant soft skills to be a consultant
