UK Power Networks - Trainee Opportunities Live Chat Event

The roll-out of Smart Metering into customer premises by 2020 requires the largest metering installation programme undertaken by the UK energy industry in a number of years.

To meet this demand for such interventions the UK Power Networks is recruiting and training Smart Metering Interventions Operatives through a Trailblazer apprenticeship training programme.

Applicants from a variety of backgrounds are welcome who have gained an electrical or mechanical engineering qualification and can demonstrate work experience gained in a craft or technical role, such as Electricians, Mechanical Fitters, Welders, Vehicle Technicians or Telecommunications Technicians or closely associated distribution network roles.

Applications from individuals who have acquired technical knowledge, skills, qualifications (at least BTEC level 2) and experience through an apprenticeship or another formal training programme related to one of the roles detailed above will also be welcomed.

A full UK driving licence is also required.

UK Power Networks are currently recruiting for Smart Metering Interventions Operatives in London and the South East. Join the live chat to speak with UK Power Networks recruiting staff about current job vacancies and where you could fit in.

How does a live chat work?

There is no need to pre-register. On the day, you simply go to the CTP website and find the UK Power Networks pages

A chat box will be displayed in the top right hand corner of the UK Power Networks page - click on it and your chat will start.

There is no set time for you to log on - the chat room is open between 12:00 - 14:00. The chat is not public, so other people will not be able to read the conversation you are having.

Please check with the organisers of the event to confirm timings.

What can I talk to them about?
