Register for a free Openreach Transition Force workshop for an employer’s view on how to approach the civilian jobs market.
Openreach has recruited over 2,500 Armed Forces veterans since 2011 – in 2017 alone, 20 per cent of Openreach’s 1,800 engineer recruits had an Armed Forces background.
Openreach’s Transition Force programme aims to help you find the role, company, and industry that's right for you.
By attending the ‘Openreach Engineering Insight’ workshop you will get:
An introduction to Openreach’s business, and a focus on the engineering roles available (Openreach will recruit 3,500 trainee engineers in 2018)
Advice on demonstrating how your military skills and experience transfer to civilian employment
Information about Openreach’s recruitment processes
Introductions to ex-Service personnel working for Openreach who have the experience of making a successful transition from military to civilian employment
Places are limited to ensure that everyone gets the individual guidance they need. Before you register, please ensure you have the appropriate authority to attend (e.g. from your chain of command) and can 100% commit to turning up. Please note, this workshop is not a jobs fair!

Please note: Transition Force workshops are suitable for service leavers and veterans of all ranks from all Services, plus spouses and partners – everybody is welcome. However, while each workshop’s content / agenda will be slightly adapted to suit the audience, some people, particularly Warrant Officers and Officers looking for management positions, may find it more beneficial to first connect with a Buddy mentor. Mentors come from a variety of backgrounds and levels of seniority, and are well positioned to provide the answers and contacts you need.
