The Merseyside Employment Initiative offers you the opportunity to meet with employers who are Armed Forces friendly and understand the benefits the Service leaver brings to the workplace. You will have the time to discuss your second career options with them, review your current career plan and to meet with a dedicated team who are focused on helping you make the right career choice.
The Initiative, hosted by 156 Regiment RLC & Liverpool City Council, is aimed at Service leavers, Reservists, Veterans and Spouses who are looking to settle within the North West. The event will include a large number of regional employers who have all been awarded the Armed Forces Covenant for their commitment and support to Armed Forces personnel. Many of the employers will offer a guaranteed interview and work placement schemes.
At the event you will have access to a CV workshop to help decode your military CV, an interview skills workshop to assist you in preparing for interviews as well as the opportunity to speak with the Armed Forces Champion for the Local Authority area where you are going to live.
In addition, there will be Local Authority representatives to discuss housing and social welfare.
