Come along to this event to find out how your company can support the Armed Forces community.
Veterans, reservists, adult cadet volunteers and service family members play a vital role in many of our teams at Wood.
Wood's Armed Forces Network, supported by ChamberForce are hosting this event to join forces with other companies and share Wood's experience of how to successfully engage and support the Armed Forces community.
You’ll hear from:
• Malcolm Norman, Wood’s Chief Information Security Officer and senior sponsor of Wood's Armed Forces Network on the business benefits of tapping into this key talent pool and how this aligns to our culture and business strategy.
• Louise MacDonald, Wood’s Diversity and Inclusion Manager on how Wood delivers on its Armed Forces covenant pledges.
• Niall Raeper, Wood’s Integration Governance Lead and army reserve officer with the Aberdeen Universities Officers’ Training Corps on what being a reservist entails and how he balances this whilst working at Wood.
• Ian Clark and Paul Barrett, founders of IED Training on their story of friendship in the Royal Marines, insights into life in the military, the challenges of transitioning into civilian life and the importance of teamwork and resilience.
The event will conclude with the opportunity to ask any questions of our speakers followed by time for informal networking with all attending delegates.
A team from Highland Reserve Forces and Cadets Association will also be there if you would like to find out more about the Armed Forces Covenant, and how to achieve the Bronze, Silver or Gold Employer Recognition Award.
This event is free to attend and open to anyone who has an interest in supporting the Armed Forces community or just wants to find out more.
