Emergency Services Awareness Day

Essex County Fire and Rescue Service - is one of the largest Fire and Rescue Services in the country, serving a county within which there are a wide variety of risks.

Essex Police - aims to be an employer of choice, developing a workforce which reflects the diversity of our communities - attracting the best talent from the widest pool of people. Essex Police brings together thousands of people with the same aim - to keep the county safe. 

East of England Ambulance Service - provides 24 hour, 365 days a year accident and emergency services to those in need of emergency medical treatment and transport in - Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire, Essex, Norfolk, Suffolk and Cambridgeshire.

HM Prison Service - keeps those sentenced to prison in custody, helping them lead law-abiding and useful lives, both while they are in prison and after they are released. HMPS is an executive agency, sponsored by the Ministry of Justice.

About the event

RC Colchester invites all Service leavers and Veterans to their Emergency Services Awareness Day on the 12th July at Merville Barracks, Colchester.

This event is aimed at Serving personnel, Service leavers and Veterans who are thinking about roles in the Emergency Services, and aims to provide information about the support and career opportunities available to you. There are a huge amount of opportunities available with the Emergency Services not just front line role but numerous opportunities available in supporting roles. Service leavers and Veterans have a huge amount of transferable skill that is recognised by the Emergency Services.

There will representatives from the following organisations, Essex Fire and Rescue Service, Essex Police, East of England Ambulance Service and the Prison Service.  

Come along to this event to receive advice and guidance, about a second career with the Emergency Services.
